The Ruts were a British reggae-influenced punk rock band known for their 1979 hit "Babylon's Burning." Formed in London in 1977, their debut album "The Crack" reached number 16 on the UK Albums Chart. After the death of vocalist Malcolm Owen in 1980, the remaining members continued as Ruts D.C.
