The Skull is an American doom metal band formed in 2012 in Chicago, Illinois, by former members of Trouble: vocalist Eric Wagner, bassist Ron Holzner, and drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson. The band's name is derived from Trouble's second studio album, "The Skull". They have released two studio albums: "For Those Which Are Asleep" in 2014 and "The Endless Road Turns Dark" in 2018. Their music is characterized by heavy riffs and melancholic lyrics, typical of the doom metal genre. After Eric Wagner's death in August 2021, the band continued with a new vocalist.
