The Speaker Wars is an American rock band formed by Stan Lynch, former drummer and founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Texas singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis. The band was established in 2025 and released their self-titled debut album on May 30 of the same year. Their music blends elements of rock, country, and gospel influences. Lynch, known for his work with artists like Don Henley and Ringo Starr, brings extensive industry experience to the group. Davis, who spent ten years in Nashville, contributes vocals, guitar, and harmonica. The band is rounded out by Jay Michael Smith on guitar, Brian Patterson on bass, Steve Ritter on percussion, and Jay Brown on keyboards.
