The Sugarcubes were an Icelandic alternative rock band from Reykjavík, formed in 1986 and disbanded in 1992. The band consisted of Björk Guðmundsdóttir (vocals, keyboards), Einar Örn Benediktsson (vocals, trumpet), Þór Eldon (guitar), Bragi Ólafsson (bass), Margrét "Magga" Örnólfsdóttir (keyboards), and Sigtryggur Baldursson (drums). Their 1988 debut album, "Life's Too Good," was an unexpected international success, particularly due to the single "Birthday." They subsequently released "Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week!" (1989) and "Stick Around for Joy" (1992). After the band's dissolution, Björk embarked on a successful solo career. The products available from the artist The Sugarcubes include CDs, vinyls.
