The Sword is an American heavy metal band from Austin, Texas, formed in 2003. The original lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie, and drummer Trivett Wingo. The band released six studio albums, including 'Age of Winters' (2006), 'Gods of the Earth' (2008), and 'High Country' (2015). Their musical style evolved from doom metal to hard rock and stoner rock. The Sword collaborated with artists such as Metallica, Lamb of God, and Clutch. In 2022, they announced their disbandment, but reunited in 2024 for a performance at the Levitation festival. The products available from the artist THE SWORD include CDs, vinyls.
