The Three O'Clock is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, known as part of the 1980s Paisley Underground scene. The band formed in 1981 under the name The Salvation Army and later changed to The Three O'Clock. Their debut EP "Baroque Hoedown" (1982) and album "Sixteen Tambourines" (1983) received acclaim for their unique sound combining psychedelic pop and power pop. In 1988, they released the album "Vermillion" under Paisley Park Records, collaborating with Prince on the track "Neon Telephone." The band disbanded in 1988 but reunited in 2013 for a performance at the Coachella festival.
