cd - The White Birch
The White Birch is a Norwegian slowcore project by Ola Fløttum, founded in Oslo in 1996. Initially a trio with Hans Christian Almendingen and Ulf Rogde, they released three studio albums before disbanding in 2006. In 2015, Fløttum revived the project and released a fourth album, "The Weight of Spring". The band's name is inspired by Codeine's 1994 album "The White Birch", considered a cornerstone of the slowcore genre. Their music is characterized by slow tempos and melancholic melodies, earning them the moniker "the Norwegian Sigur Rós". The products available from the artist The White Birch include CDs.
