Thin Lizzy is an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. The original lineup consisted of Phil Lynott (bass guitar, vocals), Brian Downey (drums), Eric Bell (guitar), and Eric Wrixon (keyboards). The band is known for hits like "Whiskey in the Jar" (1972) and "The Boys Are Back in Town" (1976). Their music blends elements of hard rock, blues rock, and traditional Irish folk music. Thin Lizzy influenced many bands with their distinctive twin guitar sound. Throughout their career, they underwent several personnel changes, with Phil Lynott remaining the central figure until the band's breakup in 1983.
