Tindersticks is an English alternative rock band formed in Nottingham in 1991. Their sound is characterized by orchestral arrangements and the baritone voice of lead singer Stuart A. Staples. Notable albums include "Tindersticks" (1993), "Tindersticks" (1995), "Curtains" (1997), and "Simple Pleasure" (1999). The band has also collaborated with French director Claire Denis on several film soundtracks. After a brief hiatus in 2006, they returned to the music scene and continue to create music to this day.
