Tito Rodríguez was a Puerto Rican singer and bandleader who achieved great success in the 1950s during the peak of the mambo and cha-cha-cha dance craze. His 1960 album 'At the Palladium', recorded at New York's Palladium club, blends traditional Latin rhythms with Latin jazz. Although recorded in the club, it was not a conventional live recording, as the Palladium was used as a studio without an audience, allowing for superb audio quality. Rodríguez was known as 'El Inolvidable' (The Unforgettable One) and remained a popular artist until his untimely death on February 28, 1973, at the age of 50.
