Toots & The Maytals is a Jamaican reggae and ska band formed in 1962 by Frederick "Toots" Hibbert. They are known as pioneers of reggae music, with their 1968 song "Do the Reggay" considered the first to use the word "reggae". Their most famous songs include "Pressure Drop", "Monkey Man", and "Sweet and Dandy". The album "Sweet and Dandy" was originally released in 1969 and features these hits. The band gained international recognition and influenced many artists in the reggae and ska genres.
