Torchure was a German death-doom metal band from Uelzen, formed in 1985. After releasing three demo tapes, the band released two albums under the German metal label 1MF Records. In 1992, they released 'Beyond The Veil', followed by a European tour supporting Sepultura and Pestilence. After the tour, founding members and brothers Andreas (guitar) and Thorsten (bass) Reissdorf tragically died in a car accident. The band continued with new members and in 1993 released their second album, 'The Essence', produced by S.L. Coe of Scanner and Angel Dust. The album featured special liner notes, rare pictures, and two remastered, previously unreleased bonus tracks. The products available from the artist Torchure include CDs, vinyls.
