Tormentor is a Hungarian black metal band formed in 1985 in Budapest. Their debut demo, "The Seventh Day of Doom" (1987), and the subsequent "Anno Domini" (1989) are considered seminal recordings in the black metal genre. The band is known for its raw sound and dark atmosphere. After disbanding in 1991, members pursued other projects, with vocalist Attila Csihar joining the Norwegian band Mayhem. Tormentor reunited in 1999 and has since performed live occasionally. The products available from the artist Tormentor include vinyls.
