Torque was an American groove/thrash metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area, active from 1994 to 1997. The band consisted of Phil Demmel (vocals, guitar), Ray Vegas (guitar), Deen Dell (bass), and Mark Hernandez (drums). They released three demos and, in 1996, their sole studio album titled "Torque" under Mascot Records. The album was reissued in 2019 with bonus tracks. After the band's dissolution, members pursued other projects; Demmel joined Machine Head, Hernandez joined Forbidden, and Vegas joined Attitude Adjustment.
