The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup formed in 1988 in Los Angeles. The band consisted of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty. Their debut album, "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1", was released in October 1988 and reached number 3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group. After Orbison's death in December 1988, the group continued as a quartet and released "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3" in 1990.
