Trichotomy is an Australian jazz trio formed in 1999 under the name Misinterprotato. The group consists of Sean Foran (piano), John Parker (drums), and Samuel Vincent (double bass). Their music blends modern jazz with elements of ambient, avant-garde rock, and contemporary classical music. Notable albums include "Variations" (2010), "The Gentle War" (2011), "Fact Finding Mission" (2013), and "Known-Unknown" (2017). Trichotomy has collaborated with various artists, including Danny Widdicombe and the ensemble Topology. The group has performed at international festivals in Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and South America.
