Vadim Repin is a Russian violinist born in 1971 in Novosibirsk. At the age of 11, he won the gold medal at the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. At 17, he became the youngest winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. He has collaborated with leading orchestras and conductors, including the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Riccardo Muti. His discography includes recordings of Russian violin concertos by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, and Tchaikovsky. In 2010, he was awarded France's Victoire d'Honneur and the title Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. In 2014, he founded the Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk.
