Vida Vella is a musical project led by Luis Gabriel Illades, former drummer for Pansy Division and Avengers. Their debut album, "Panorama," released on March 21, 2025, is bilingual, featuring songs in both Spanish and English. Recorded in León, Guanajuato, the album blends indie rock with traditional Mexican musical elements. Illades, originally from Tijuana and now based in New York, focuses on universal themes such as self-identity and romantic vulnerability in this project. Collaborators on the album include members from bands like Camper Van Beethoven and Anohni and the Johnsons.
