Vilde Frang is a Norwegian violinist born in 1986 in Oslo. She began her solo career at the age of twelve with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra under Mariss Jansons. Frang studied at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, and the Kronberg Academy. She is renowned for her interpretations of classical violin concertos and sonatas. Notable recordings include "Prokofiev & Sibelius: Violin Concertos" and "Grieg, Bartók, R. Strauss: Violin Sonatas". Frang has collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic. She has received several awards, including the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award in 2012.
