Vladimir Feltsman is a Russian pianist and conductor known for his versatility and extensive repertoire spanning from the Baroque to the 21st century. Born in Moscow in 1952, he debuted with the Moscow Philharmonic at age 11. In 1971, he won the Grand Prix at the Marguerite Long International Piano Competition in Paris. In 1987, he emigrated to the United States, making his debut at Carnegie Hall. Feltsman is also a distinguished educator, having taught at the State University of New York at New Paltz and the Mannes College of Music in New York City.
