Watchhouse, formerly known as Mandolin Orange, is an American folk/americana duo from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, consisting of Andrew Marlin (vocals, mandolin, guitar, banjo) and Emily Frantz (vocals, violin, guitar). Formed in 2009, the group has released six albums of original compositions. In 2013, they signed with Yep Roc Records and released four critically acclaimed albums: This Side of Jordan, Such Jubilee, Blindfaller, and Tides of a Teardrop. In 2021, they changed their name to Watchhouse to better reflect their artistic intentions. The duo has performed at significant festivals such as the Newport Folk Festival and Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and at prestigious venues like the Ryman Auditorium.
