We Be Echo is the project of Kevin Thorne, formed in 1981 after the dissolution of Third Door From The Left. The debut album, "Ceza Evi," was released in June 1983 and featured contributions from Genesis P-Orridge and Iham on Tibetan thigh-bone trumpet. The music was recorded using the built-in microphone of a dual cassette recorder, resulting in a raw and spontaneous sound. We Be Echo occupies a space between industrial and experimental music, with their work often compared to Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire. In 2022, "Ceza Evi" was reissued as the "Compleat Edition," including bonus tracks recorded between 1981 and 1983.
