Weedeater is an American doom metal band formed in 1998 in Wilmington, North Carolina. The band consists of Dave "Dixie" Collins (vocals, bass) and Dave "Shep" Shepherd (guitar). Their debut album, "...And Justice for Y'All," was released in 2001, followed by "Sixteen Tons" (2002), "God Luck and Good Speed" (2007), "Jason... The Dragon" (2011), and "Goliathan" (2015). The band is known for its heavy sound and lyrics focusing on marijuana themes. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with producer Steve Albini and have been associated with bands like Buzzov*en, Bongzilla, and Sourvein.
