Wojciech Kilar was a Polish composer renowned for his contributions to classical and film music. Born on July 17, 1932, in Lwów, he passed away on December 29, 2013, in Katowice. Throughout his career, he composed music for over 130 films, including Francis Ford Coppola's "Dracula" and Roman Polanski's "The Pianist." His 1974 work "Krzesany" is considered a milestone in his career. Kilar was also a member of the Polish avant-garde music movement in the 1960s.
