Dirty Three is an Australian instrumental rock band formed in 1992 in Melbourne by Warren Ellis (violin, keyboards), Mick Turner (guitar, bass guitar), and Jim White (drums). Their 1996 album "Horse Stories" was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the top three albums of the year. Two of their albums, "Ocean Songs" (1998) and "Toward the Low Sun" (2012), reached the top 50 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band is known for their dynamic and improvisational style, blending elements of rock, folk, and jazz.
