Ducktails is the solo project of American composer and guitarist Matt Mondanile, initiated in 2006. Originally a member of the band Real Estate, Mondanile released several albums under the Ducktails moniker, including "The Flower Lane" (2013), "St. Catherine" (2015), and "Jersey Devil" (2017). Ducktails' music is characterized as indie rock, psychedelic pop, and dream pop. Mondanile collaborated with artists such as Julia Holter and James Ferraro. In 2017, Mondanile faced allegations of inappropriate behavior towards women, leading to tour cancellations and the termination of collaborations with certain record labels.
