Harry Chapin was an American singer-songwriter known for his folk rock and pop rock songs. During the 1970s, he released 11 albums, with all 14 of his singles charting on national music charts. His most notable songs include "Taxi" and "Cat's in the Cradle." Chapin was also a significant humanitarian, fighting against hunger, and in 1977, he participated in the creation of the Presidential Commission on World Hunger.
