Ken McIntyre was an American jazz musician and composer, known for his performances on alto saxophone and flute. His 1961 debut album, "Looking Ahead," recorded with Eric Dolphy, features five original compositions by McIntyre and an interpretation of the Gershwin brothers' "They All Laughed." The album was recorded on June 28, 1960, at Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey and released on the New Jazz label. McIntyre's music is characterized by post-bop and modal elements, with his collaboration with Dolphy considered a significant contribution to the jazz scene of that era.
