Liudmila Georgievskaya is a Russian pianist who has won awards in over ten national and international piano competitions. She has performed in countries including Russia, Italy, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Netherlands, England, Hungary, Panama, and the United States. Her performances have been broadcast on radio and television in Russia, the USA, Uzbekistan, Italy, and Vatican City. As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras in Russia, Asia, Latin America, and the USA. Her solo CD featuring works by Beethoven and Schumann, released in 2013 by Odradek Records, received two Global Music Awards. She is a member of the ensemble Voices of Change and frequently performs in piano duos with her husband, Thomas Schwan, and her sister, Olga Georgievskaya. She studied at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, and the University of North Texas, where she earned a doctorate in piano performance. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of North Texas.
