Lucile Boulanger is a French gambist who began playing the viola da gamba at the age of five under Christine Plubeau. She later studied with Ariane Maurette, Jérôme Hantaï, and Christophe Coin at the Paris Conservatoire. She has won awards at international competitions, including the Bach-Abel Competition in Köthen and Musica Antiqua in Bruges. As a chamber musician, she has collaborated with Philippe Pierlot, François Lazarevitch, and Justin Taylor. Notable recordings include "Bach: Sonatas for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord" (2012) and "Bach & Abel: Solo Works for Viola da Gamba" (2022). In 2025, she received the Victoires de la Musique award in the instrumental soloist category. Since 2024, she has been teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and, since 2025, at the Paris Conservatoire.
