Matthieu Marthouret is a French jazz organist and composer. In 2012, he released the album "Upbeats" with his Organ Quartet, featuring nine tracks, all composed by Marthouret. The album was recorded in May 2011 at Studio Piccolo in Paris and released under the Double Moon label. Marthouret is known for his modern approach to jazz music, incorporating elements of jazz-funk and contemporary jazz. On "Upbeats," he collaborated with musicians such as Nicolas Kummert (tenor saxophone and vocals), David Prez (tenor saxophone), Sandro Zerafa and Maxime Fougères (guitar), and Manuel Franchi (drums).
