Ministry is an American industrial metal band formed in 1981 in Chicago by Al Jourgensen. Initially starting with a synth-pop sound, they transitioned to industrial metal by the late 1980s. Notable albums include "The Land of Rape and Honey" (1988), "The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste" (1989), and "Psalm 69" (1992). The band has been nominated for six Grammy Awards and has performed at festivals such as Lollapalooza and Wacken Open Air.
