Nightfall is a Greek extreme metal band from Athens, formed in 1991 by vocalist and bassist Efthimis Karadimas. The band is known for its unique blend of gothic metal, melodic death metal, and symphonic black metal. Their most notable albums include "Parade into Centuries" (1992), "Macabre Sunsets" (1994), "Athenian Echoes" (1995), and "Lesbian Show" (1997). Nightfall is considered one of the pioneers of the Greek metal scene alongside bands like Rotting Christ and Septicflesh. In 2025, they released their eleventh studio album, "Children of Eve," under the Season of Mist label. The band is recognized for their powerful melodies and epic compositions that combine aggressive riffs with atmospheric elements.
