Sacramentum is a Swedish melodic black metal band from Falköping, formed in 1990 under the name Tumulus. They changed their name to Sacramentum in 1992. Their debut album, "Far Away from the Sun" (1996), is considered significant in the melodic black metal genre. This was followed by "The Coming of Chaos" (1997) and "Thy Black Destiny" (1999). After a period of inactivity, the band returned in 2019 and announced a European tour with Thulcandra in 2024. The current lineup includes Nisse Karlén (vocals), Anders Brolycke (guitar), Calle Andersson (guitar), and Tobias Kellgren (drums).
