Sinfonia of London is a London-based symphony orchestra conducted by John Wilson. Originally founded in 1955 by flautist Gordon Walker for recording film music, the orchestra was re-established by Wilson in 2018. Since then, it has released over 17 albums, including premiere recordings of complete original scores of musicals like "Oklahoma!" and Wilson's edition of Ravel's ballet "Daphnis et Chloé." In 2021, it made its live debut at the BBC Proms and has since performed regularly at the festival and on UK tours.
