Slower is an international stoner-doom project formed in 2023. The band is known for its slower-tempo covers of songs by the American thrash-metal band Slayer. Their debut album, "Slower," released in January 2024, featured exclusively Slayer covers. The second album, "Rage and Ruin," released in November 2024, included original compositions. Band members hail from various renowned groups: Bob Balch (Fu Manchu) on guitar, Esben Willems (Monolord) on drums, Amy Barrysmith (Year of the Cobra) on bass guitar and vocals, Laura Pleasant (Kylesa) on vocals, and Scott Reeder (Kyuss) on bass guitar.
