Television was an American rock band formed in 1973 in New York City. The group consisted of Tom Verlaine (vocals, guitar), Richard Lloyd (guitar), Fred Smith (bass guitar), and Billy Ficca (drums). Their 1977 debut album, "Marquee Moon," is considered one of the most influential albums in rock history. The band disbanded in 1978 after releasing their second album, "Adventure."
