Tierra Santa is a Spanish heavy metal band from La Rioja, formed in 1997. Their second album, "Legendario" (1999), features 10 tracks inspired by medieval tales, including the title track "Legendario" inspired by the "Cantar de Mío Cid". The band is known for its classic heavy metal sound with power metal influences and historical lyrics. In 2004, they released the live album "Las mil y una noches", recorded at the Lorca Rock festival in Murcia. Tierra Santa is considered one of the main bands in Spanish heavy metal, achieving success in Spain and Latin America.
