Tito Carrillo is an American trumpeter and composer from Austin, Texas, known for his contributions to the Chicago jazz scene. He has released two solo albums: "Opening Statement" in 2011 and "Urbanessence" in 2022. His music blends jazz with Afro-Cuban rhythms, creating an authentic Latin jazz sound. Carrillo has collaborated with artists such as Willie Pickens, Bobby Broom, Patricia Barber, Kurt Elling, Woody Herman, and the Chicago Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed with legends like Andy Montañez, Tony Vega, Cheo Feliciano, Tito Puente, Paquito D’Rivera, Quincy Jones, and Phil Collins.
