Trio of Doom was a jazz supergroup consisting of guitarist John McLaughlin, bassist Jaco Pastorius, and drummer Tony Williams. The group formed in 1979 and performed at the Havana Jam festival in Cuba. Their sole album, "Trio of Doom," includes live recordings from this performance and studio recordings from a later date. The band's music blends jazz, rock, and Latin American influences, characteristic of the jazz fusion genre. Despite their brief existence, the group had a significant impact on the jazz scene.
