Vampire Weekend is an American indie rock band formed in 2006 in New York City. Originally consisting of Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson, and Chris Baio, their debut album "Vampire Weekend" (2008) received acclaim for blending indie pop with African rhythms. Subsequent albums "Contra" (2010) and "Modern Vampires of the City" (2013) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Their album "Father of the Bride" (2019) won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. In 2024, they released their fifth album, "Only God Was Above Us".
