cd - Yuka Ishimaru
Yuka Ishimaru is a Japanese organist who won the Grand Prix and the Dand & Polly Bales Prize at the 22nd International Organ Competition Grand Prix de Chartres in 2010. Born in Niigata, Japan, she studied at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music, receiving the Ataka Prize, Acanthus Music Award, and DOSEIKAI Music Award. She continued her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music under Hans Fagius, obtaining the Organ Soloist Diploma. Ishimaru has performed as a soloist with the Orchestre National de Lyon under Leonard Slatkin and recorded on the historic Buchholz organ at St. Nikolai in Stralsund, Germany.
