X-Ray Spex was an English punk rock band formed in London in 1976. The original lineup included vocalist Poly Styrene, guitarist Jak Airport, bassist Paul Dean, drummer B.P. Hurding, and saxophonist Lora Logic. Their debut single, "Oh Bondage Up Yours!", was released in September 1977. In November 1978, they released the album "Germfree Adolescents", featuring tracks like "The Day the World Turned Dayglo" and "Identity". The band disbanded in 1979 but reunited in the 1990s, releasing the album "Conscious Consumer" in 1995. Their music combined punk rock and new wave with a distinctive saxophone sound.
