Yarákä is an Italian musical trio from Taranto, founded in 2015. The group consists of Gianni Sciambarruto, Virginia Pavone, and Simone Carrino. Their music blends African rhythms with melodies from Southern Italy and the Mediterranean. In 2018, they released their debut album "Invocaçao," followed by "Curannera" in 2023. This album reached fourth place on the World Music Charts Europe and won the Premio Alberto Cesa at the FolkEst 2023 festival. Yarákä has performed at festivals such as the Ethnos Festival in Naples and the Taranto Jazz Festival, where they opened for Enzo Avitabile.
