a-ha is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982 by Pål Waaktaar-Savoy (guitar, keyboards), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards, guitar), and Morten Harket (vocals). Their 1985 debut album, "Hunting High and Low," featured hits like "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.," with the former reaching number one in the U.S. and other countries. The band was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1986. Throughout their career, they have released multiple albums and received various accolades, including six MTV Video Music Awards for "Take On Me."
