A Silver Mt. Zion is a Canadian post-rock band formed in 1999 in Montreal. The group was founded by Efrim Menuck, a member of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, along with other members of that band. Their debut album, "He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms...", was released in 2000. The band is known for its experimental arrangements and emotive performances. Throughout their career, they have released several albums, including "Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward" (2001) and "Horses in the Sky" (2005).
