Achim Reichel is a German singer, musician, producer, and songwriter from Hamburg. In the 1960s, he was the frontman of the beat group The Rattles, which opened for The Beatles on their final European tour in 1966. In 1968, he co-founded the psychedelic pop group Wonderland. In 1971, he launched his solo project A.R. & Machines, known for its progressive krautrock sound. Since 1975, he has focused on recording traditional German songs and classical poetry in a modern style, including albums like 'Dat Shanty Alb'm' (1975) and 'Regenballade' (1977).
