Adetar was a legendary but obscure death metal band from Enschede, The Netherlands. After two promising demos, the band ceased to exist. The compilation CD "Sinister Resurrection of the Morbid" includes the two demos recorded in 1990 and 1991, catering to fans of old European death metal. The second demo, "Death Deified," was recorded by Harry Weijering (Asphyx, Hail of Bullets) at Harrow Studios in Losser in 1991. The CD features six live bonus tracks from 1990 to 1992, including two previously unreleased songs. Adetar members also played during the early '90s in bands like Ulcerate Fester, Jagannath, Dead Head, God Dethroned, and continue today in Putrefied Corpse. Partially remastered by Achilleas Kalantzis (Possessed, Vio-Lence, Varathron).
