Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, and Paco de Lucía were three virtuoso guitarists who collaborated to create unique musical works. Their first joint album, "Friday Night in San Francisco" (1981), was recorded live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and became one of the most influential acoustic guitar albums. This was followed by "Passion, Grace & Fire" (1983) and "The Guitar Trio" (1996), further developing their distinctive style blending jazz and flamenco. In 2022, "Saturday Night in San Francisco" was released, featuring previously unreleased recordings from their 1980 concert.
