Alan Hull was an English singer-songwriter, best known as a founding member of the folk-rock band Lindisfarne. In the 1960s, he worked as a nurse while performing in local folk clubs. In 1970, he co-founded Lindisfarne, serving as the primary songwriter and vocalist. The band achieved success with songs like "Lady Eleanor" and "Fog on the Tyne." Alongside his work with Lindisfarne, Hull released several solo albums, including "Pipedream" (1973) and "Squire" (1975). His music blended elements of folk and rock, influencing many musicians.
